How to create an ISO file closer to the full disc capacity?
Sometimes the ISO we generate ends up smaller than the disc’s maximum size. For example, you may select a BD50 (46.5GB) disc, but the final ISO is only around 40GB. If you want the ISO to reach approximately 45GB,
you can manually adjust the encoding bitrate using the steps below:
Locate the configuration file:
On Windows:
1. Press Win + R,
2. Enter: %userprofile%\Documents\YuhanMedia\BlurayDVDCreator\AppData
3. Then press Enter or paste the same path into File Explorer.
On Mac:
1. In Finder, press Command + Shift + G or choose Go to Folder…,
2. Enter: ~/Library/Application Support/YuhanBlurayDVDCreator/AppData
Inside the AppData folder, find app_config.xml. Open this file in a text editor (such as Notepad), then look for the following line:
This value represents the percentage of the software’s default video encoding bitrate.
- The default 100 means standard encoding.
- Increasing it to 110 raises the bitrate by 10%, resulting in a larger ISO file.
